So at the fifth attempt I’ve finally made it onto my course. I’ve got a weeks worth of Guerilla .Net 2.0 with Developmentor in Kensington. Hosted by Jason Whittington (the guy who wrote the course) and Richard Blewett.
The course started with drinks at the hotel last night, and we’ve just had our first session looking at the .Net CLR, and the differences between 1.1 and 2.0.
The people on the course are a pretty mixed bunch, two guys from the BBC, surprisingly two guys from Microsoft, and quite a few from Scandinavia and a few Brits. All speak English, although our Amercian trainer was asked to speak a bit slower pretty quickly.
The content of the course looks good, as does the selection of courseware on offer. In addition to the notes, we also get a couple of relevant Microsoft Press books, and also access to a pretty extensive library of other books. The only downside is that I think I’m going to have to go on a diet after this as there is a lot of food in evidence!
