For years, George Lucas has been adamant that now he has made the update versions of the original trilogy, these were the definitive versions, and the original versions that the fans first saw at cinemas more than twenty years ago, would never be seen again.

However, in a massive turnaround, and a great example of pester power (and perhaps the realisation that they can make even more money out of the fans by doing it) they have relented, and for a limited time only are going to release the original versions of the films on DVD.
