Mystery Solved

Tonight we finally solved the mystery of why so many people sit around in parked cars on our street. Often it’s the same cars at similar times, and always with just one person sat in the car.

I’d had lots of thoughts as to what it might be:

Maybe a police surveilance operation – but some of them didn’t really look like policemen…

Possibly there was something in this area that people borrowed, like an open Wi-Fi connection – nope, the only open connection around here is now secured, and they’re still there.

Maybe it was something like the Bagshot Brothel that London Weekend TV found a few years back…

Tonight I happened to be turning the car around at exactly 6pm, and there were two cars parked opposite our drive (hence why I had to turn around), and a child clutching music came out of number 9, and another went in, so it seems thankfully one of our neighbours isn’t running a brothel, but is giving piano lessons, and the cars are the parents sitting around for half-an-hour whilst the lesson takes place. Now if only they could take lessons in parking so that they don’t obstruct our drive…
