After all the rumours, Apple has announce a raft of new products at the current MacWorld Expo.

Eagerly awaited products include a flash based iPod which costs from £69, and also a new bottom of the range Mac, the Mac Mini that will retail for under £400, designed to tempt people away from a cheap PC.

Software wise in addition to an updated version of iLife they have also produced iWork which packages a new Word Processor with their presentation package Keynote.

In terms of what we may be tempted by, the updated version of iLife may be a must have, due to our reliance on iPhoto. However iWork doesn’t overly appeal as we really need full compatibility with Microsoft Office.

The baby iPod is an attractive price, however the Mac Mini is more tempting as a way to get a new Mac without breaking the bank!
