Like a lot of companies, we have a big focus on safety. This covers everybody including us office workers, meter readers bitten by dogs, linesmen who fall off ladders and so on, mainly because our headline safety statistics are published and don’t distinguish between office trips, and industry related safety.

As part of this safety culture we have signs like the following on the stairs to encourage us to hold onto the handrail when we are going up and down.

Having said that, the little poem on the latest sign could be said to be pushing the point a bit…

“Take heed and stay safe every day
Then you may live to collect your pay!”
